[edit]I watched the Freedom Cup being presented tonight after the test between the Springboks and New Zealand and came here to look into the history of the cup as I hadn't heard of it before. It's obviously only a minor trophy, but I noticed that the article here says it's biennial (which is clearly how it started) yet it was contested this year which would be out of that sequence. I can't find any references elsewhere to the change in timetable - can anyone else?
Results table
[edit]The results table is currently showing NZ won it in 2017, after one match (one to play.) Technically the series is still in progress, and according to the page here: History_of_rugby_union_matches_between_New_Zealand_and_South_Africa a drawn series would be decided on aggregate (unlike say the Bledisloe cup rules where a drawn series leaves the cup with the holder.)
Of course, current aggregate of 57 point advantage is highly unlikely to be wiped out in test two. But I can't find any external references to the Cup rules for either this page or the History of matches one — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.99.217.233 (talk) 07:55, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
