Was he in the army twice? It says he enlisted in 1972 and was discharged three years later, which would be 1975. But then he was discharged again in 1996. When did he enlist the second time? Also it says "Cox was seen as a nice old man." But if the section is in chronological order, this would have been no later than 1996, when he was 43 years old. Was he considered an old man at 43?
