Prince of Ahaus, Bocholt and Gemen

[edit]

The title "Prince of Ahaus and Bocholt" was given to Frederic IV. by the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss, not to Frederic III. 82.207.181.29 (talk) 14:47, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just the editor fixing translation problems. Do what you need to do for the accuracy. THANKS! --Auntieruth55 (talk) 17:20, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I did fix the Jaegers link. Jaegers are light infantry. --Auntieruth55 (talk) 17:28, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup

[edit]

This article appeared to have been made with an auto translation machine. I've cleaned it up as well as I can, but my Dutch isn't as good as my German. I've fixed the grammar, added links, clarified the Patriot Issues. It needs an expert in the Dutch wars and the Batavian republic to fix. --Auntieruth55 (talk) 01:00, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Patriots

[edit]

Regarding the Patriots, in the article Frederick III. of Salm-Kyrburg and Johann Friedrich von Salm-Grumbach (1743-1819) were confused with each other. The mercenary who fought for the Dutch Patriots was Johann Friedrich von Salm-Grumbach (1743-1819), not Fredrick III. Read https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Friedrich_von_Salm-Grumbach or: Joachim Emig: Friedrich III. von Salm-Kyrburg (1745–1794). Ein deutscher Reichsfürst im Spannungsfeld zwischen Ancien régime und Revolution (= Europäische Hochschulschriften. Reihe 3: Geschichte und ihre Hilfswissenschaften. 750).
