Assessment comment
[edit]Nice work so far. The lead needs to be expanded to properly summarize the article. Does a picture of him exist? He died so long ago that anything from his time is in the public domain and can be used on Wikipedia. I removed the "Representative Selection of Sonnets" section, this does not belong in his Wikipedia bio, but on WikiSource (nothing is lost on Wikipedia, an older revision still has the content, for example here). To improve articles I often check what quality articles look like and adapt the current page. Articles can be renominated at the Assessment department when they improved. - You need to add a source, author and original creation date to verify that the picture is in the public domain. Hekerui (talk) 19:55, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
The image is from wikicommons with a filename as follows: Engraving of Frederick Goddard Tuckerman from Eugene Englands 1991 Beyond Romanticism.jpg Where else am I supposed to put any of the info you say is needed? Please advise DagorausWhear (talk) 23:26, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
- This info must be put in the "Summary" infobox. You are not the "author", but the original creator is. The source is the book and the date is the date of original creation. Two dimensional works that are old enough to be in the public domain and the license needs to be a {{PD-Art}} license. Compare: File:Abigail Adams engraving.jpg Why were the spaces from the description removed? lol Hekerui (talk) 06:47, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
I think I got it right this time. Thanks for your help. DagorausWhear (talk) 14:07, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
