Death date
[edit]I've had a look on BDM (birth, death and marriages) and registration number 1948/32188 returns Frederick Whitcombe (note the spelling of the given name; note that spelling mistakes are not too uncommon on that database) who died on 19 September 1948 aged 89. That'll be him, I'd say. Schwede66 19:58, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Schwede66: Agree that's correct. Frederic and Alice Whitcombe appear on the 1946 Christchurch Central electoral roll at 478 Gloucester Street, but in 1949 it's just Alice Whitcombe, described as a widow. See the card for Frederick Whitcombe in the Macdonald Dictionary at Canterbury Museum. Paora (talk) 23:28, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- That's awesome. Got a lot on at the moment but had planned to check the Macdonald Dictionary. Schwede66 08:35, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
