[edit]The article doesn't make it clear whether the trademark is "RedHot" (one word) or "Red Hot"; in fact, it uses both. Can someone who knows which is correct clear this up? 86.131.93.31 00:32, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- Touché, thank you for pointing this out. I believe it it 'RedHot' and thus I believe this article might need to be moved and changed. I'll try to see if i can figure out how to do that. MrMacMan Talk 00:46, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Where is the scoville scale rating? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.103.173.3 (talk) 05:54, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
I came to this page to find out why (for some time) the sauce was called "Durkees RedHot". I guess the answer is in here, but I'd like to know when and for how long.Ron Schnell 07:16, 13 January 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aviators99 (talk • contribs)

Six Flavors
[edit]Anyone know why there are 10 flavors listed under the section that says there are 6 flavors? Kronos o (talk) 05:33, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
- The list is a mess at this point. This is the first edit that changed the list to more than six.[1] It was made by an anon with no explanation or reference, and who has apparently left Wiki immediately afterward.
- Frank's official page has a site map listing seven variations[2] and that corresponds to the pictures on their home page.[3].
- Whether these variations belong in Wiki is another question. There are scores of spin-off products attempting to cash in on the original flavor. If a product is notable, does it follow that the spin-offs all are, as well? Editor 69.245.224.113 has just tagged the article as advertisement. Not sure about that, but it would seem that allowing companies to promote all their most recent products in Wiki verges on the promotional. Piano non troppo (talk) 21:48, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
SHU?
[edit]The Original blend ranks low on the Scoville scale with 450 SHUs
This may be correct, however another Wiki entry says 499, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hot_sauces .
The sauce's own website does not include this information.

Changing the Scoville rating for Frank's Redhot
[edit]An impartial editor has reviewed the proposed edit(s) and asked the editor with a conflict of interest to go ahead and make the suggested changes. |
I believe the Scoville rating on this page is inaccurate as there is no official source of the Scoville rating. Not to mention that this is a cayenne pepper hot sauce, which ranges around 25000-50000 on the Scoville scale listed on wikipedia. This means the 450 listed is too low. I think it would be better to remove the Scoville rating all together as it is inaccurate with no real source from the manufacturer, just articles that may have gotten the inaccurate information from here.
- Go ahead: I have reviewed these proposed changes and suggest that you go ahead and make the proposed changes to the page. casualdejekyll 14:03, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
