Franco Scaglione biography
I find the biography generally correct. Franco Scaglione worked with and for Intermeccanica and Frank Reisner off and on from 1962 to 1975, when Intermeccanica went bankrupt. The cars Scaglione designed for Intermeccanica are correctly identified except for the MURENA. Scaglione was working for Alfa designing, I believe, the "trenta tre' (33) at the time we had to build the MURENA and was not available to us. Therefore we had the designs drawn up by Ivo Barison, a young designer at that time. Franco Scaglione was a very good friend of Frank Reisner and myself for many years. He invested much of his work in the INDRA in all its incarnations, but did not invest actual funds in the project. Thanks, Paula Reisner preisner@shaw.ca |
