Layout
[edit]This DAB layout is wrong, and I don't understand why it's being reverted back to this state. First, articles must not be pipe linked, but linked under the exact names they have. Which are José Francisco Ramírez (the soccer player) and Francisco Ramírez (the caudillo). Francisco Ramírez (caudillo) was just a proposed name, when there wasn't an article about him yet. Fortunately, as their names are not completely the same, it's not needed to add clarifications in the article name.
Second, who said that this soccer player was the primary topic? It was only the first written article. Which one can be the primary topic? A provincial governor who took part as a head of a civil war, even being the head of state of a former country? Or a soccer player, who does not even seem to have been champion at a domestic tournament? Even so, I have no problem in giving them equal consideration (a clean introductory line and both entries at their own lines) MBelgrano (talk) 20:03, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
The DAB layout meets the guidelines. On dabs there shouldn't be any piping, but redirects are regularly used to avoid confusion. I restored redlinks per MOS:DABRL; restored layout per MOS:DAB when there's a primary pg elsewhere. If footballer doesn't deserve to be primary, then after pg move the layout here should change. In 2009, JHunterJ found the footballer to be the primary page, and reasons would need to be put forth why this has changed. If that's the case, the page can easily be moved, the primary topics often change. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 07:33, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
I see the primary has now been changed; I didn't see any reasons given, but at quick glance it seems OK. I've changed the dab layout to reflect the changes. Boleyn (talk) 07:36, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
