[edit]The article mentions he had poison gas. Doesn't that make him a terrorist and require mandatory life without parole sentence or the death penalty? 195.70.32.136 09:30, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
Someone might find the photo of the fellow id'd as looking like Clinton. IIRC he was walking outside the WH at the time and did bear some resemblance to the president, especially in the poofy hair he had at the time. Bonaparterex 23:04, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Francisco Duran.jpg
[edit]Image:Francisco Duran.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

motivated by weapons ban?
[edit]i took this out because there is no citation and it sounds like anti-gun bias.
Duran was probably motivated at least in part by the Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994. In August 1994, Duran had called a local congressional office to oppose the ban and threatened to "go to Washington and take someone out." He also bought the SKS on September 13, 1994, the same day Clinton signed the bill into law[citation needed]. Statesboropow (talk) 17:14, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Suggested deletion
[edit]I suggest that the FAIR-sourced statement in the article be deleted per this inasmuch as FAIR should not be used for contentious statements in BLPs.--Epeefleche (talk) 03:22, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Request to rename this article
[edit]This article should be renamed "1994 White House shooting", as it is a description of a crime and not a biography of a person notable for any other reason. It is similar to 2011 White House shooting. I could not locate a separate page describing this crime. If there is one, these articles should be merged.
