Talk: Order of Lutheran Franciscans
[edit]According to Chris Boerger The ELCA's Church Secretary, who according to ELCA Constitutions regulates organizations affiliated with the ELCA: Nobody in the Office of the Secretary has ever heard of this organization, nor do they have any sort of affiliation with or recogition from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Thus references to the OLF as being "within" the ELCA have been removed from the article.
- So please feel free to alter the page in question with sources. Chicbyaccident (talk) 18:52, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
Talk:Personal Ordinariate
[edit]Apart from the Anglo-Lutheran Catholic Church, the article should really consider verifying whether groups such as the Franciscan orders in Lutheranism have ever sought a similar canonical structure to the proposed personal ordinariates. ADM (talk) 18:08, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- Unless the articles claim they have done so, why? Orders within Lutheranism don't need to have a canonical structure apart from whateve is acceptable to the Lutheran Church within which they exist. Eg An order within the EKD would not, for any reason, need "a similar canonical structure to the proposed personal ordinariate", unless they claim they do.
- I suppose the question arises from the same reasons as the inquiry about why evolviga supposed disambiguation page into an article like the current version of Franciscans. Chicbyaccident (Please notify with {{SUBST:re}} (Talk) 13:28, 8 October 2016 (UTC)
Merge
[edit]I have now merged this article with the former confusing article "Franciscan", bordering WP:Original research. Duplicated content about the original Catholic Order of Friars Minor and its affiliations. Other contents have been split into Franciscans International and Franciscans (disambiguation). In addition, Franciscans now appropriately redirect to Order of Friars Minor. What now rest to be done is to move or merge the former talk page and its content, Talk:Franciscans, over here. - Please see Talk:Franciscans#Original_research?. Chicbyaccident (talk) 21:07, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
- The updates on the article Franciscan have been reverted. So the discussion continues there. Chicbyaccident (Please notify with {{SUBST:re}} (Talk) 13:30, 8 October 2016 (UTC)

Sources Needed
[edit]Many Protestant Fransiscan groups are not cited, or are cited to an affiliated website. There are also very few, if any, independent sources that assert the notability of the Protestant Fransiscan movement. Many groups also lack basic history, such as date founded or number of members. –Zfish118⋉talk 17:56, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
