Biographical contradiction
[edit]In the biography section, it states that six weeks after seeing his first combat in September, Currey "would be a sergeant and 3rd Platoon Leader in K Company." Six weeks after September would place his promotion to sergeant at no later than mid-November. The very next sentence states "on December 21, 1944, Private First Class Currey." Was he demoted by December 21? If not, he cannot have been a sergeant in November and a private in December. The photograph from 1945 shows Currey with sergeant stripes, so a promotion or promotions did occur at some point. This chronology needs to be checked. PJtP (talk) 15:20, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
