[edit]The ISAF website lists his average speed as 12.42 knots. I'm going to try and find another source http://www.sailing.org/default.asp?ID=je7Fn?6A&MenuID=d1,gGoBC2Ma9C0G78wUwL?NZ8TEV
The above site doesn't even list his date of birth. I managed to track it down here http://www.astrotheme.fr/en/celebrites/pallas_maison_viii.htm
There's a lot of detail here in French for any French speakers. http://www.trimaran-idec.com/trimaran_idec.pdf
Chulcoop (talk) 21:07, 29 November 2008 (UTC) The Ellen MacArthur website claims that his record was beaten and she is the current record holder
In 2005, MacArthur beat Francis Joyon's existing world record for a single-handed non-stop circumnavigation.
Check out the Ellen MacArthur records section. I don't have time but I am sure others do.
Cliff Update: i'm an idiot. realise he won it back again. ignore me cliff.
