Other problems: - Regarding the 18 years, PFR has his GM tenure as (1951–1968). However, that possbily conflicts with the source that says he only initially split responsibilities with others while the title remained vacant.[3] The WP article text also makes the 18 years seem less certain: By 1953, Fogarty had become official general manager of the team. Perhaps something to the effect of "spanning two decades" might work.

@Bagumba: Changed it to "who went on to manage an NFL franchise nearly two decades" – I think it'd be better to keep the other part; IMO it is more interesting that he not only managed to escape, but did it after being wounded. Thoughts? BeanieFan11 (talk) 20:49, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@BeanieFan11: I see. Perhaps then it'd be slightly more emphasized as "was wounded in World War II and taken as prisoner by the Nazis in World War II but managed to escape while wounded"? I initially just thought being wounded as a soldier, while more courageous than me, might be thought of by some as being "common" in war.
