This is a hard rock song. It's not really all that bluesy, certainly heavier than any blues song I've heard. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.81.33.59 (talk) 23:31, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

+++To be accurate here's an excerpt from Deborah Frost of Rolling Stone (from her book "ZZ Top Bad And Worldwide): "But he (Gibbons) doesn’t like to credit his collaborators. It was the only time that Gibbons’ co-workers outside the band were given part of their due. Steve Perron died shortly after the band recorded “Francine,” and his widow, Linda, says she’s never received royalties. In fact, Billy’s actual contribution to the writing of “Francine” is debatable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Texasman444 (talkcontribs) 14:02, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Title of article really should be "Francene"

[edit]

The original vinyl and Billboard all spell song this as "Francene". Some later reissues revert to the more common "Francine," but that's an error.... Fred J. Fish (talk) 01:02, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
