General problems with article
[edit]I have various problems with this article. Firstly, it is an article about a living person, but it has no sources. I thus added the notice. Secondly, it sounds almost like it was written to be an ad for the author, and as such the neutrality of the article is questionable. Thirdly, the short biographical information does not validate (what seems to be) a complete list of all the books ever published by this author. I shall see if I am able to find some reliable sources and try to improve the article. Otherwise, I'll be removing the dodgy material in the bio, making it more concise and to the point, and then I'll replace the extensive bibliography by a select one that should preferably reflect which of his books are deemed most important.Johannes Jaar (talk) 13:14, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
More general problems with the article
[edit]As Johannes Jaar pointed out those many years ago, the article reads as if it was (badly) written by the author himself or a close relative. Statements such as "first of their kind", "first Afrikaans author to publish a comic strip series" and "world-firsts" are clearly nonsense. All in all a terrible article, needing either significant improvement or removal. Socket0 10:59, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
