Reading this article, I noticed these phrases:

  • ...considerably to Bailly's Tribune catholique...
  • ...to prove the contrary thesis to Gibbons.

Which Bailly? And which Gibbons?

My guess for Gibbons would be Edward Gibbon, but I could be wrong.

Can anyone shed some light?

And, by the way, which "neo-Catholic movement" are we looking at?

I corrected the birthdate to 23.04 "Great grand-nephew of Jacques Ozanam. Born at Milan, 23 April, 1813; died at Marseilles, 8 September, 1853." based on [1] --Neozoon 22:14, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
