For Henry the Fowler, "Fowler" was not a surname, but an epithet. His name is Henry the Fowler (Henry I), not Henry Fowler. Kings and emperors have always been known by the first name. Consider some more familiar English monarchs, e.g. Queen Elizabeth. William the Conquerer is not William Conquerer. I am not sure how to indicate this in the list. DGG 06:46, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
