Most of the article reads more like a brochure for tourists rather than an account in an encyclopaedia. There should be more solid information on the history, buildings and administration. The bus service and taxi service section (which was moved here from 'River Fowey') should probably be omitted and a link provided to a WS where an up=to-date version of this information can be found.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 08:57, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Watching the BBC Series Escape to the Country Series 11, Cornwall, it is noted that Fowey was a launch port for the D Day invasion. This would be a good contribution should anyone have info on it. Kyle Andrew Brown (talk) 17:30, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
Wealthy entertainers - house prices
"A number of wealthy entertainers have second homes around the town, which pushes up house prices to a level that local people cannot afford"
Is this true? Would locals buy these? Would one of the boatyard fitters have bought Neptune Point if Dawn hadn't pushed the price up to £2m? I'm not disputing the holiday homes = higher prices formula, but these people buy homes that *nobody* else can afford. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BollyDave (talk • contribs) 14:17, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
I've changed it to; "which may conrtibute to higher house prices, prices above those which many local people can afford"Serpren (talk) 09:08, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
