Pointless sentence

"Both the prism system and the X3 technology derive their benefit from using all the light and sensing all colors at all locations."

The above sentence should either be expanded upon or removed since the nature of lenses is that they use all the light and sense all colours at all locations. A sensor, photo-electic or film, simply processes the light that the lens focusses onto its surface, so the current words provide no significant information.
