Suggested move

The correct term for this is the island rule, not Foster's Rule, at least if current research journals are to be believed ([1]) . This page should be moved to reflect that. Sabine's Sunbird talk 21:48, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can't really judge, but it does seem the rule is much older than Foster: Franz Nopcsa von Felső-Szilvás#Contributions to paleobiology and geology. This should be mentioned in the article. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 05:50, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
