Suggested merger
[edit]I note that this unit was preceded by No. 4 Forward Air Control Flight RAAF. It seems logical to me that the two should be merged.

- I don't agree: these were separate military units and each has its own entry in RAAF unit histories. Nick-D (talk) 08:28, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
Upon revisiting this subject, I find that the history of No. 4 Squadron RAAF seems to be scattered into three articles: No. 4 Squadron RAAF, No. 4 Forward Air Control Flight RAAF, and Forward Air Control Development Unit RAAF. Elsewhere in Wikipedia, the history of military units tends to be contained in a single article covering all iterations of the unit. This would be a much stronger single article than the present situation, which has two stubs and a B-Class article. There is no need to slavishly copy the format of paper sources into Wikipedia.
