Spelling
[edit]It was agreed after a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style#Templates and internal consistency of national varieties of English to mark this article as written in British English with Oxford spelling. This seems to have been the choice of the first editor; there are strong ties to Britain; the use of the "ize" spelling ensures that "canonize" is spelt consistently with the template and other articles. There is no problem with the phrase 'forty martyrs of England and Wales'. That is the correct designation. See http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=477031.185.188.82 (talk) 14:46, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
