[edit]Without wanting to be cruel to the participants, how notable is this really?
Reading between the lines, it looks like a white collar 'battle of the bands'. As none of the competing bands have gone on to have commercial success or critical acclaim, I think this is probably not notable. 4kinnel 02:29, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's notable enough to justify an article. The contest gets a fair amount of media coverage; was even featured on NBC's "Today" show last year. (I'll add a few of the article links soon). But it probably could be argued that there's no need to list so many details about each year's results. Vandelay 05:46, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Ok! I don't feel strongly enough about it to make it an issue.4kinnel 08:57, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's certainly a notable topic, but what I want to know is, has there been any negative criticism of this event by those who believe that anything "corporate" is antithetical to anything "rock 'n' roll"? For example, I can't see the Sex Pistols agreeing to serve as judges for this event. --Skb8721 16:10, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
