The Brest Fortress

[edit]

Why is it necessary to declare that the film does not refer to events of 1939, Molotov-Ribbentrop Pakt, invasion of Soviets and Germans in Poland, and also even to mention the things happened in Belarus during the last 500 years (Polish occupation of Belarus)???!!! That one who composes such deviations is a real cunning guy: it is the same thing if the one would say about, for example, American blockbuster "Perl Harbour" something like the following. The film makes no refers to the real assistance from the USA to the enemies of Japan, the United Kingdom, and the US activity against the ally of Japan, Germany, in the end of 1930-s and at all no refers to the facts that the Kingdom of Hawaii was a land, annexed by the USA after Spanish-American War, 1898, as well as there no refers to the all stories of US-interfiring in the policy of the Kingdom of Hawaii - the military actions of 1887 (so called Bayonett Constitution), coup de'etat of 1893 and all the other sponsored by the US, also earlier historical things like those ones interfiring in the inside affaires of Hawaii. Sounds stupid, doesn't it? The Blockbuster "Perl Harbour" is about the concrete story of the war beginning and not about the 200-years history of the region Hawaii. But if there is a film about a concrete happenings from the 22.06.1941 till the end of the June 1941, then the one who creates this article imagines that it is absolutely obligatory thing to mention the "historical shortages" of the film - meaning not less then a 500-years history of the relations between Russia, Poland and Lithuania, Germany, USSR, Belarus. These are no shortages, these are the fantasies of the author, in this case it would be no film about the concrete historical happenings of the war beginning, but some discussion about what and when had happend, "once apon a time", and who is fault. The film's story is good built, devoted to the historical facts of 1941 and not to the facts of the earlier time.Farmount1989 (talk) 11:03, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summary

[edit]

The plot summary, despite its length, does not mention the narrator's girl-friend, Anya. But his feelings for her, searching for and rescuing her, and the going with her among the surrenders are a significant part of the film. Also, the summary states that " The breakout fails and the remaining defenders, including Kizhevatov, are killed," yet the break-out is barely shown (only K. shooting and the Germans shooting, and then the potato smasher being tossed in and exploding), so how can it be said to have failed (other than that historical material not part of the movie might tell us that).Kdammers (talk) 13:02, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
