Michilimackinac, NOT Michimilimackinac

[edit]

Please don't change all of the occurrences of "Michilimackinac" to "Michimilimackinac"... mostly because it's completely incorrect. It's "Michilimackinac", as noted in the article's title and at ALL of the external links on the page, including those pointing to the official State of Michigan sites. I would consider such change as bordering on vandalism (or, best case, edits with no common sense -- after all, look at the title of the article!). Thanks. CBessert 22:36, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is this the same article ? about the same topic ? Octopus-Hands 23:57, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, as the articles describe, Fort Michilimackinac is an earlier fort built by the French on the mainland near present-day Mackinaw City. Fort Mackinac was built a bit later by the British on Mackinac Island. olderwiser 15:46, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
