This page should probably mention something about Fort Douglas, Utah since it is refereced by several other Wikipedia pages.
There's also Fort Douglas as the old name for what was re-christened Fort Victoria in 1843, today's Victoria, British Columbia....originally Fort Camosun IIRC.Skookum1 09:50, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Fort Douglas was actually burned down once by supporters of the North West Company, shortly after completion in 1815, but this did not happen again. The fort was not burned down twice, as erroneously reported by a previous editor (which I corrected). In fact, after the Battle of Seven Oaks, the Métis occupied it instead, since their own Fort Gibraltar had just been destroyed by fire at the hands of the Red River colonists. --Skol fir (talk) 01:29, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
