Forres Community Councils aim is to represent all people in the Forres area without prejudice. We are non-party political and non-sectarian. Any person 16 years or over and resident in the Community Council area, can be elected or co-opted to their local Community Council.

History and Overview
[edit]The text says "The earliest written reference to Forres may be the Οὐάραρ εἴσχυσις (Ouárar eíschysis, 'Varar Estuary')".
With the river Farrar so nearby, the fact that Forres sits on the Findhorn and that Forres is not a river, the claim above is absurd. Not a single authority supports this.
Unless someone can offer a good reason to keep it, I propose to excise this whole sentence. Freuchie (talk) 13:52, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
