Request renaming of page

[edit]

As I noted in the article page, there is a new host for the program starting in January 2008. With Fareed Zakaria no longer hosting the program, the name of the show is now presented as "Foreign Exchange". With that, the article page should be renamed to reflect the actual name of the program. --questionlp (talk) 00:38, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree that the article title should be changed. Following the Wikipedia:Naming conventions (television) that could be either Foreign Exchange (PBS TV series) or Foreign Exchange (PBS talk show). The network prefix to the parenthetical qualifier would be needed since there is another TV series/talk show of the same name, Foreign Exchange (CNBC World), which also originates from the U.S. and also premiered in 2005, so the country or year prefix would not be an option. Another possibility would be to rename this article to Foreign Exchange with Daljit Dhaliwal. I slightly prefer this last option over the first even though it may not be the official title, though it's hard to tell since the official website uses this last option as the title of every page on the site. Dear Viewers,

After 6 seasons, Foreign Exchange with Daljit Dhaliwal will end on Oct 9th. We have appreciated your support and hope you have enjoyed this program as much as we have enjoyed making it. We encourage you to continue your attention to international affairs as we live in a time when awareness to events beyond our borders is becoming more and more of an imperative.

Thank you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.166.103.28 (talk) 09:25, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:
