Redundant list of Permanent Under-Secretaries of State for Foreign Affairs

The list of Permanent Under-Secretaries of State for Foreign Affairs is redundant since it appears in the main article on the topic. I have therefore removed this information. Leeannedy 13:31, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Foreign Office

This term in the article loops back to the FCO article - when it refers to an earlier body. Can this be corrected. Jackiespeel (talk) 17:17, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Where is the information on the Foreign Office prior to 1968? The only article i can find relates to the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs 86.14.114.187 (talk) 00:19, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Here's a map of the Fco recomended countries to avoid travel to, if it is of any use. Betaben (talk) 15:32, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Ministers

The list of ministers is out of date. Kinnock has moved. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Restraining (talkcontribs) 00:40, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

This article is dire

The emphasis on published trivia and the premises is bizarre. Must we suppose that the FCO's Dark Forces are successfully conspiring against taking seriously the Service that within living memory ran the Empire on which the Sun never Set? Thousands of Wikipaedes (but sadly not I) can do better. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.67.109.217 (talk) 10:13, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

Urdu Translation of the article done here. Thanks to WhisperToMe. Faizan 07:37, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

Also information about this building must be updated as it going second renovation (refurbishment), which will last until late 2016. --Barzdonas 15:33, 31 January 2015

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Foreign and Commonwealth Office - Durbar Court.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on February 24, 2017. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2017-02-24. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 02:21, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

Terminology and usage

One might want to add a section on the changeover in terminology, and how the different terms were used before and after. One shouldn't read too much into this graph (especially in the case of "Foreign Office", which may be used in different countries as well, and is over ten times as popular as the other three terms) but it's perhaps a starting point for a discussion: Ngrams comparison of four terms for Foreign Office.
