I owned a 1954 Ford Skyliner with the first of Fords OHV engines. This leads me to suggest that the author of this artical doesn't have much knowledge on these cars. The 1954 Ford Crestliner Skyliner was Fords Luxury car of its day. It did not evolve from the Fairlane family. The name Skyliner was indeed applied to the 1957,58, and 59 retractable roof Fords but they in no way came from the original "Skyliner". The only thing common to these too vintgage Fords is that they share the name Skyliner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.192.249.104 (talk) 00:47, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
