Does anybody have any idea exactly how many BOSS 302 engines were produced? (Not the newer 2007> version)

The rev limit RPM is right on the Windsor engine page at @6150 RPM ford part # D0ZF-12450-B, but is listed INCORRECTLY at 6250 on this page.BIGTAZ351W (talk) 21:48, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Additional Information Added

[edit]

Hello,

I'm a college student that was assigned a project in editing/creating a Wikipedia term. I decided to choose the Boss 302 because I'm currently putting one in my Mustang and I ran into some confusion when reading about the Boss engine here. I had always called it the 302 5.0L and so when I saw "Boss 302", I knew something was going on. I was able to find out that 5.0L is a nickname for the Boss and learned about the 302 Cleveland as well.

Edit: I've also added information concerning the differences between the Boss and the Cleveland. I also found the term "Windsor 302" and addressed that as well. While the Windsor 302 is what we call the Boss 302, the Cleveland might also be considered a Boss as well, but due to it being exclusive to Australia, I can not actually claim this to be true. I bring this up because people may refer to the Cleveland 302 as the Boss, so to avoid confusion try to find out if they are talking about the Windsor 302 or the Cleveland 302.

I hope my additions help with any confusion like mine that someone may find.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Nateb0303 (talkcontribs)

@Nateb0303: Nate, I've had to revert your additions, since they were based on sources that are not considered reliable. A user forum on "FordBarn.com" and user responses on Quora.com cannot be accepted as reliable sources. If you've been assigned a project to edit Wikipedia, you should consult with your professor about how to do so, especially about citing proper sources. Hello, I've revised my additions with a new source, specifically the differences between the Windsor and Cleveland engines. Thanks for the feedback. Nateb0303 (talk) 02:10, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
