* ... that Ernest Hemingway, after watching the TV adaptation of For Whom the Bell Tolls, called lead actor Jason Robards to tell him how terrific it was? Source: Delaware Public Media - "Afterwards, he went to the phone and called Maria and called Jason and told them how terrific he thought it was. He was very considerate that way."
** ALT1:... that Ernest Hemingway watched the TV adaptation of For Whom the Bell Tolls from a flea-bitten motel as the screenwriter held the "rabbit ears" for him? Source: Terry Gross interview of A.E. Hotchner - "So he stopped at some flea-bitten little motel ... So get this picture. We're in this motel room. Ernest and Mary prop themselves up with pillows with their backs on the bed. And the television set - this big old lumbering television set was in front of them. And I had to sit next to it holding the rabbit ears."

- — Article was nominated two days after it was created. It is well sourced throughout with inline citations. The article is also neutral and free of copyright violations according to Earwig. The hook is mentioned in the prose with a reference and very interesting; receiving praise from Hemingway himself for an adaptation of his novel is quite impressive. QPQ has been done. A slightly reworded version of the hook, showing that For Whom the Bell Tolls is a Hemingway novel for those who are unaware of that, should be used instead, however.
- ALT2: ... that after watching the TV adaptation of his novel For Whom the Bell Tolls, Ernest Hemingway called lead actor Jason Robards to tell him how terrific it was?
