It is proposed that the Camera eats first article be merged into Food photography. The term "camera eats first" seems unsuitable as an article title; it is possibly a WP:Neologism; the term itself doesn't seem to have been adopted widely except in a couple of passing mentions in articles and so fails WP:WORDISSUBJECT; and it is unlikely to be the obvious search term for a reader to look for an article about photographing food. The scope of the Food photography article does not have to be limited to commercial/professional activity, and could quite comfortably include the "Camera eats first" material. Merge all content given that dominant popular perception of "photographing food" probably is the public's use of smartphones, these days. The phrase "camera eats first" does appear in a lot of news stories, though, including several headlines, as well as food books. (Some of them suggest it's a literal translation of a Cantonese phrase, although they don't seem to quote the original.) Belbury (talk) 13:19, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose; the current structure in WP:SUMMARY format works well, and it is best not to mix the professional art and practice with the social media buzz. If the main concern is the title Camera eats first, then it would be better to just move that title to a relevant natural English title; perhaps Food photography on social media might work.
