co-author of book, Fred Thompson?

Both The Times obituary to Fred Thompson and the Oxford Encyclopedia of Popular Music state that Thompson was co-author of the book for Follow the Girls. I assume from the omission of Thompson's name in the article that the sources on which the article is based do not include him among the authors. It would be unusual for both The Times and the Oxford University Press to be simultaneously and identically in error. This is from the Encyclopedia of Popular Music article on the show:

This big wartime stage musical hit on both sides of the Atlantic, first saw the light of day at the New Century Theatre in New York on 8 April 1944. Guy Bolton, together with Eddie Davis and Fred Thompson, wrote the libretto which concerns Bubbles LaMarr (Gertrude Niesen in her only book musical), a burlesque stripper whose career takes off in a big way at the Spotlight Club, a sanctuary for servicemen in Long Island, USA. … Follow The Girls ran for over two years, a total of 882 performances, in New York, and played 572 shows at His Majesty’s Theatre in London, where the popular local comedian Arthur Askey starred as Goofy, with Evelyn Dall as Bubbles.
