[edit]The article says "A common misconception is to use this technique for the iliotibial band." and at the same time refers to the Foam Rolling Guide at http://www.customstrength.com/foamrollguide.pdf which instructs to exercise the ITB. [edit]There should be a Controversy section because foam rolling is just stupid and another form of "Self-therapy", also a social trend. and those who have published information on the Internet on foam rolling are not medical professionals.
