Suggested rename
[edit]Rename to Freestyle (disc sport) or Freestyle (disc game) or something? Just removing the deprecated "frisbee" from the name. --Liface 16:59, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Using frisbee is fine - it's a generic term now and it's how most people know the sport.
- It's not, I don't think. It gives preference to an outdated copyright, that's why Ultimate players prefer to call their sport Ultimate. --Liface 07:24, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Frisbee should indeed be removed from the title as it is a trademark.
Referencing
[edit]Hello, In just about every case you are using references to literally explain to people what a "word" means, like Knee, elbow, head, governing body etc etc. You need references on how these words apply to the activity of frisbee freestyle. Instead of referencing the "FPA world championships" you reference what a "world championship" means. I think everyone already knows what that is. What people need to know is what a "FPA World Championship" is. Lacks proper reference everywhere. If you need help with referencing, let me know, I can help. This is well written and obviously has potential but So far I like the other article better, even though it was all over the place, it was more informative. Also John Weyand hasn't gone by "dreamer" for a long time. He goes by "Z" 69.92.9.174 (talk) 14:22, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
Added info and reference in history section. I thought it would be informative to give the location of the first freestyle event. I've also included a reference that gives some information about the history of freestyle. I also changed the middle name of John Weyand to Z, he doesn't like Dreamer.
Scarecrow and phlaud
[edit]Could someone with knowledge of them please expand the Catches section with definitions/descriptions of the scarecrow and phlaud techniques? Thanks. --Captain Infinity (talk) 04:28, 1 January 2014 (UTC)
Staker and helicopter
