Christianity
[edit]I removed the bit saying that Flylady's messsages are "Christian and traditional." I have found that her messages are anything but traditional, and I have also seen her address the Christianity issue on the email list. She does not want to exclude anyone, her messages are for everyone, and it is not a strictly Christian program. Her email concerning the issue reads like this:
"FlyLady here: I have never pushed my religious beliefs on anyone. I try to love everyone. I feel that love is what makes the world go round.
I stood in front of a Christian audience two weeks ago and told them that FlyLady was for everyone. That women of all different faiths (and I named them) and even those with no faith had the same wants and desires when it comes to their homes.
I heard a gasp from the event sponsor when I mentioned pagans and witches. I don't exclude anyone. You exclude yourself when you don't adapt our routines to fit your family.
The reason you don't see many testimonials about other faiths is that I don't receive them often. If we would all just try to love our neighbors as ourselves then the world would not be riddled with fear and anger.
I have never hidden the fact that God is a very big part of my life. God Breezes blow my direction every day.
Send me your testimonials and I will share them. We are all sisters and brothers living in one world!"
I think that clarifies the issue nicely-- Flylady is not just for Christians.

"I wish we had flybabyed the dishes last night."
[edit]Can any one supply information about the use of flybaby as a verb? The heading is a quote from a Facebook comment (after an earthquake affected water supplies in Christchurch NZ). I have heard others use it as well.
List of Key points
[edit]The list of key points should probably become a paragraph or two - see the Gettting Things Done page with its Methodology section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Riverhead (talk • contribs) 00:00, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
Critcism/NPOV/promotional tone
[edit]This website feels like a cult (especially in the 'flybaby' things and the way she talks like 'we'll go into into this later' when you are first instructed to wash the sink - it feels like scientology levels or mystery cult - and the no-winging is suppressive of negative review surely? I want this article to reflect NPOV and read less like promotion: this isn't totally heebeegeebies since I have been in there and it's helped friends - who do still take it with a pinch of salt - but I find in my obsessional way it affects thinking about house-keeping tasks and self-care - negatively even by affectng self esteem because I just got up and did in PJs or dress but no self-care before sending the kids off with dad and school transport then felt like I'd done it wrong by flylady standards. I think the world needs to talk about how to keep the basics healthy and yet really not sure whether I want a particular holistically-strong site/author by virtue of clever cyber-psychology to have dibs/intellectual property rights/fingerprints/association with all expressions of housekeeping affairs - I think that's dangerous.
