Horrible Article
[edit]THis is probably the worst written article I have ever read on Wikipedia, which is saying a lot given the tripe that constitutes the bulk of Wikipedia's entries. This article serves as yet another reason that you simply cannot trust Wikipedia, even for information on insignificant lowlifes. Garbage. Utter garbage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.189.196.203 (talk) 21:44, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- I agree that this article is severely lacking in encyclopedic content. Very questionable. User talk:dghavens 17:10, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
Out of prison, but not in
[edit]In the middle of the article it says "When Mayweather came out of prison", however, before that there is no information on when or why he went to prison. --Bernardoni (talk) 23:32, 23 February 2008 (UTC) He seems to have gone to prison three years for smuggling cocaine. A glaring omission. 24.5.65.22 (talk) 16:08, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- He went to prison for five years on minor drug charges (at the height of the "Drug War.") It reveals little about his professional career. Sleyece (talk) 15:11, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
Stats are all wrong
[edit]His win/loss numbers are wrong it says his won 28 (KO 18) + lost 6 (KO 2) + drawn 1 = 35
JAIL TIME and NOT FOCUSING AS MUCH ON SON
[edit]First off, why is there nothing in here about his jail time? It needs to be included. Next, this article focuses too much on his relationship with his son, which is fine, but it needs to be more limited and focus more on Senior than Senior and Junior. This article needs a reboot and then it needs to be locked so people can not making it this terrible ever again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.15.30.125 (talk) 12:33, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

Jr deposed
[edit]Quote: "as of December 2011 Jr had been deposed." Should we say here--in Sr's biography--that Jr had been deposed? Regarding anyone's deposition, we need some explanation or a wikilink--and I don't believe a simple link to deposition (law) is good enough. For one thing: it seems at a glance to concern witnesses rather than defendants, and Mayweather was a defendant here, iiuc. --P64 (talk) 18:17, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
