Martyrdom

- No, crusaders are never considered martyrs. A martyr is someone who was killed because they were trying to spread Christianity, and that was never a goal of the crusades (at least, not for the crusades against Islam). They were just regular wars, essentially, and someone killed in battle, especially a battle they started, couldn't be a martyr. Adam Bishop (talk) 10:21, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
