Demolition of the Econlockhatchee River bridge?
[edit]When did this happen, and how(and why?)? ---- DanTD 13:50, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- UPDATE - Looks like I waa wrong, and it was for a former section of SR 50. ----DanTD (talk) 16:51, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
history & infobox
[edit]The history section needs to be rewritten to prose instead of a list. Additionally, two junctions need to be removed from the infobox to attain the 10 maximum per USRD standards. --LJ (talk) 22:52, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- I understand your complaints regarding the infobox, but since all are major highways it's difficult to pick which ones should go. ----DanTD (talk) 00:55, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
History
[edit]Don't have ref for this but historically, 1) 50 is the dividing line between the "real south" which is north of the road and the "new" south, which are transplanted "Yankees", located south of the road. 2) on the east coast, a blurry line between northern plants which grow north of the road and more tropical trees which grow more easily south of it. 3) the dividing line above which sinkholes are found and below which, they aren't!
it is theoretically, half-way down Florida since its number is halfway. Student7 (talk) 04:04, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Infobox Major Junctions
[edit]I took the initiative to add SR 417 near Union Park as a major junction but put us one over the USRD standard of 10 max. After careful consideration I selected US 98 to be replaced due to several factors. It is a fairly insignificant two lane road through the jct w/ SR 50 and the US 98 Wiki article fails to reciprocate SR 50 in it's own Infobox/major junctions list. Meanwhile SR 417 is a six lane expressway with a full interchange at SR 50. I certainly do not wish the update to be controversial at all. As such I invite others to share feedback here that could help form a wider consensus.
