Speedy deletion

[edit]

Proposed speedy deletion per criteria A3 (no content), but also A1 (no context). Article was already deleted in the past, on March 20th, 2008. --Deenoe 22:14, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed speedy deletion tag. There is now has enough context to identify the subject (it is a State fair). The state fair of Florida with an attendance of over 400,000 people will pass any notability questions that may come up.--kelapstick (talk) 22:17, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You're not really supposed to just remove a Speedy tag. I submitted this article to an AfD discussion, because I still believe there is absolutely no context or content on the article. I wouldn't mind seeing the article stay, but I think it would be fair to have a community discussion on this. --Deenoe 22:21, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Note (even though the deletion talks are completed) an editor who is not the creator may remove a speedy deletion tag as per WP:CSD--kelapstick (talk) 05:18, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Content

[edit]

I see someone is working on the article and I don't want to cause an edit conflict, but I just copied this bit from the Zoonosis article:

 • "In 2005, a petting zoo that exhibited at two Florida fairs and a festival was traced as the source of an E. coli O157:H7 outbreak (an example of zoonosis?). Sixty-three people who had visited either the Florida State Fair, the Central Florida Fair, or the Florida Strawberry Festival reported illness to investigators for the Florida Department of Health, including 20 who were culture-confirmed and 7 with HUS. A case-control study revealed that illness was associated with exposure to a petting zoo exhibit present at all three events." ChildofMidnight (talk) 23:11, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Here are some news articles that might add to the article:

 • "At the Florida State Fair, enjoy animals, rides and food on a stick". The St. Petersburg Times. 5 February 2009. Retrieved 14 February 2009.
