Fair use rationale for Image:Flo Rida.jpg

Image:Flo Rida.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Discography Update

Back on September 13, I mentioned that Flo Rida will appear as a guest artist on "Eat You Up" by Korean pop singer BoA. I can now confirm that the song was leaked/premiered on December 2 as an MP3-only track. It is a remix; the song is produced by DJ Montay.

Also, what happened to the "Hypnotized" Remix by Big Gemini? Flo Rida is a guest artist on that song alongside Lil' Rob. It was a single released this year, but did it ever chart? ElMeroEse (talk) 02:50, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Collaboration with Japanese/Korean Artist BoA

How come there's no mention of it anywhere in the article on the remix he did with BoA entitled "Eat You Up". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eat_You_Up (talk) 21:47, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Because it was leaked. We have to wait until the song is officially promoted physically. Like a white vinyl, a promo vinyl or a CD Maxi-Single. MP3-only tracks are hard to track (excuse the double meaning), recommended if it were released on Apple iTunes for legitimacy. ElMeroEse (talk) 00:59, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Soccer AM (21st Feb)

Theres a debate going on at the moment about Flo Rida and Colchester United on the BBC's 606 message boards. He appeared on Soccer AM on the 21st February, 2009 and somewhere on the show his name was associated with the ColU football team. Can anyone confirm this. I noticed Flo's page has been edited recently to include this 'fact' but hasn't been cited properly. Looks like someone has seen our discussion board and then edited this wiki page. Thanks. DarthJoeyJoJo (talk) 10:23, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

I've had official confirmation from the team at Soccer AM. When Flo Rida was on the show he picked Colchester United as the team he supports. However I doubt that this makes him a proper fan of the club. This would require him to go to matches, be seen in public wearing a replica shirt or in other ways support and praise the club. Until such evidence is presented, Flo Rida is not a fan of the club and any reference to this will be removed. Thank-you. DarthJoeyJoJo (talk) 11:56, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Flo Rida Acclaimed?

That should be corrected. Flo Rida has NOT been acclaimed- that is he hasn't been praised enthusiastically by the public OR by critics. Clearly there is a bias here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.13.176.53 (talk) 16:31, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Early years

I just happen to be from the area in which he supposedly grew up. What was once (and still is considered) the suburban community of Carol City, is now more commonly referred to as the city of Miami Gardens. My issue is the reference to him growing up in the 16th St. Projects. Well, there isn't a 16th St. in that area...MAYBE 16th avenue, which isn't a major thoroughfare. There are some other municipalities/cities near by such as Opa Locka, Miami Lakes and Hialeah, of which this citation may be referring to incorrectly. Chances are the info is all wrong. I doubt he grew up in the projects. Either way, that's my two cents24.118.26.104 (talk) 04:53, 26 July 2009 (UTC)RAB, 07/25/09

Electro-hop?

Electro-hop should be added only if there's a source supporting that Flo Rida performs electro-hop songs. Otherwise, the category electro-hop artists shouldn't be here. Andrewlp1991 (talk) 05:32, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

Merge Discussion

Hey The Flo_Rida article has two sub articles for discography and awards. Since the article is not too long it would be better to have a single article. If unchallenged the merger will come into effect on 21st of August by 5:00 UTC. Harsh Mujhse baat kijiye(Talk) 11:49, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

What? It is long, theres already too many awards so there has to be a single article for the awards and nominations. And there will be plenty more to come later on in the year! ozurbanmusic (talk) 11:51, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

Long but not long enough to warrant a separate article. Harsh Mujhse baat kijiye(Talk) 12:01, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

I think you should leave it as it is. It might not be that long now, but he is releasing his album in a few months; hence, he is going to release more singles hence he is obviously going to get more awards. So if you do merge it together, in a few months there just going to be another discussion about making a sepearate articile because its to long. Fabianphipps (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:36, 15 August 2010 (UTC).

I don't know about upcoming albums or anything, however wikipedia is a work in progress. So it would make sense splitting the articles at a later stage. Right now however they can be in a single article. Harsh Mujhse baat kijiye(Talk) 03:08, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

What gives you the right to do that. I created that article, so just leave as it is. Theres already a lot of awards in the article. And if he gets more awards in the upcoming months and the article has been merged into the main article, whos gonna create the awards article then hey? certainly not me. ozurbanmusic (talk) 05:37, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Hey till this discussion over DONOT remove the template. OK? And it is not a question of rights. As per good article standards amongst others this is the right move. If you can provide with a solid reason why this merger should not take place, then please provide it. Harsh Mujhse baat kijiye(Talk) 08:33, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

OK, but theres already two people who don't agree with the idea! ozurbanmusic (talk) 09:06, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Both articles probably aren't quite long enough for their own articles (as of now), but they are pretty long and should only get longer, so possibly a temporoary merge between the discography and award articles might be best? There could be Flo Rida and Flo Rida discography and awards which could be expanded to three articles again at a later time. ~ Qwerp ♫ ♪ 18:08, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Strongly Oppose First of all this move has nothing to do with GA standards. Maybe the Awards could be merged, but his discography is WAY too comprehensive to merge. Candyo32 23:05, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

I agree with Candy, I've thought this through and yes maybe it is a good idea if the awards article be merged into the main article. But the discography article has to stay. Theres far too much information already on their and plus the article was created ages ago and no one had a problem with it. But the awards article was created two weeks ago and it seems it's caused a fuss on whether it should be merged. So we merge the awards article and keep the discography article? ozurbanmusic (talk) 10:42, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

I also agree with Candyo32, as well as the merging of awards in main article and the discography kept as is. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 20:55, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Flo Rida came along and took the beat the riff and the song and now is making money on it.. How does that work? pretty much a thief and a scondrol in my book... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.8.16.69 (talk) 15:18, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Hello, Some vandalist removed all mentions of FLO RIDA song for charity BOOTY ON THE FLOOR he did with Marc Mysterio. Can this edit be reverted as it was highly publicized and well sourced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.107.8.27 (talkcontribs) 20:40, 22 December 2013‎ (UTC)

I'm not convinced that the removal was vandalism. However, the source for "Booty on the Floor" checks out, so I've restored it to the article. —C.Fred (talk) 20:57, 22 December 2013 (UTC)

Hello - I suggest that MARC MYSTERIO is restored to associated acts with this rapper. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.45.109.122 (talk) 22:12, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

Acts he has only collaborated with once or twice do not have the significance to be included in the infobox. STATic message me! 22:22, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

OK - then these should be removed as well Nicki Minaj, Akon, Brisco, David Guetta, and Ke$ha as they have only collaborated once.

I beleive MARC MYSTERIO should be added here.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.152.156.61 (talk) 18:15, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

He has collaborated with all of the ones you mentioned at least on two or more songs, so they are relevant for the AA. Marc Mysterio is a one-time collaboration, which is not significant to his career. 2Flows (talk) 18:56, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
I did remove a few, as even if they collaborated twice or three times, it still does not indicate the significance to include in the infobox per Template: Infobox musical artist/doc. Brisco and Guetta definitely deserve inclusion, but Akon or Kesha might be borderline if they did a tour together in the past or something, but I am not sure. But yeah, Marc Mysterio definitely is not notable enough for inclusion. STATic message me! 19:28, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

72.192.225.235 (talk) 21:17, 15 February 2014 (UTC) Flo Rida is not considered a rapper just because he is African American.

No, he's considered a rapper because he performs rap music. I don't see an edit request here. --ElHef (Meep?) 23:26, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Birthdate info was changed. Cite?

There is no October 15 birthdate cited at the source. Someone inquires whether it is 9/16 or 12/16. A third source gives September 17! Dfoofnik (talk) 11:11, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
