I was asking how to move this article into main space now that I have spent months improving it. I left several requests on the draft page, but nobody has responded.--Geewhiz (talk) 08:26, 14 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, now that you've pointed out where to look I can see your requests. The overarching request is that the draft is submitted for review (twice), so that's the action that it's waiting for.
I looked at some of your references to see if I'd be willing to accept the article. What we need to overcome is a presumption that Hassan-Nahoum is not meeting WP:NPOL as deputy-mayor. Other extensive press coverage would be needed to establish notability and much of what you have are interviews with her, which do nothing towards notability. When I looked at The Jerusalem Post article used as ref 6, I did not find it contained the biographical information it was being cited for, either because the Post had changed the article or some other error. That's pretty disappointing. My conclusion is that the article needs better references to establish notability and the references need to be vetted more thoroughly so that the facts stated in the article can be verified. — jmcgnh(talk)(contribs)21:21, 14 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Appreciate your quick response. Based on your comments I have made a few corrections and added several more references. The sources are solid and at last count I saw 23 references, which is far better than a large percentage of articles on Wikipedia. From what I can see, they are not all interviews. I actually do not understand the objection to an article about a deputy mayor of Jerusalem. From a brief search I see many articles for deputy mayors of cities much less important than Jerusalem (see, for example, the vice mayor of Cincinnati, Christopher Smitherman). I see there is a category for deputy mayors of Jerusalem with about 20 people in it. Also, I see the deputy mayor of London has a page, as does the deputy mayor of New York. On top of that, Hassan-Nahoum is a woman, and in today's climate I would think coverage of a woman in power is noteworthy.Geewhiz (talk) 15:21, 15 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
