Trivia section
[edit]Until this stuff can be moved to another section I'm going to archive it here. --J.D. 13:05, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- The flight reservation that Chevy Chase checks on at the airport is under Alan Stanwyk's name. This is a mistake as Stanwyk plans to kill Fletch and take his passport in order to fake his own death.
- Until the park changed ownership from Paramount, Kings Island in Mason, OH would often play the musical theme from Fletch as you were entering the park.
- Joe Don Baker who plays Chief Karlin in Fletch, played a detective in an infamous, MST3K lampooned film Mitchell.
- Kevin Smith was originally on board to write and direct Fletch Won. He picked Jason Lee as his choice to play the young Irwin R. Fletcher. Smith and Lee are no longer tied to the project.

2022 Fletch movie, "Confess, Fletch"
[edit]I think that it is worth mentioning the 2022 Fletch movie, "Confess, Fletch" due to come out soon. I just don't know the best way to do it, with regards to Wikipedia style guidelines. Is it best to just add "In 2022, a new movie based on McDonald's book Confess, Fletch, and with the same title, was released.", including a link to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confess%2C_Fletch ? Or should a disambiguation page/section be created, for these movies and the books?
I leave it to someone else to make the best decision and hopefully update the actual page. 24.56.77.201 (talk) 07:34, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
