"Station" in intro
[edit]Per the RfC, consensus is to include "station" in the intro where it's part of the article title.--Cúchullain t/c 22:41, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Cuchullain: A station is a station makes no sense as an introduction. The proper name of the station is "Flatbush Avenue" with "station" in lower case as a descriptor to distinguish it as not being a street in the title of the article. Secondarywaltz (talk) 23:29, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
- That isn’t what the consensus decided. I’ll take another stab at the intro.—Cúchullain t/c 03:22, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
- But you actually changed this so that it didn't match with other CDOT stations. Secondarywaltz (talk) 04:25, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
- The other articles being out of compliance is not a reason to keep this one out of compliance.—Cúchullain t/c 12:52, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
- That part of the RFC is utter nonsense. Repeating "station" like that is making Strunk and White roll over in their graves. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 18:19, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
- Putting the title of the article in the intro is Wikipedia article writing 101. "Flatbush Avenue station is a bus rapid transit station" is not bad writing any more than "The killer whale or orca is a toothed whale" in the featured article Killer whale.--Cúchullain t/c 19:00, 6 February 2018 (UTC)

2022 planned renaming
[edit]By 2022 the station is planned to be renamed West Hartford station when the Hartford Line opens the commuter rail station at the site. J4lambert (talk) 15:38, 31 January 2020 (UTC)
