Today's customers rarely pick a design from the wall and have it done in exactly the same size and color. Most tattoos are custom-designed. Nevertheless, tattoo flashes are an excellent departure point for design and style ideas.

Now, this seems a bit non-NPOV, but if something can be cited, it could definately stay. --Threatis 14:20, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I removed this statement because it simply isn't true. While there seems to be a general movement towards people looking for customized artwork to be placed on their bodies, it is still common place for someone to get a flash tattoo design tattooed exactly as it was originally designed. • FAR FAR too many tattoo novices still simply pick out "number twelve" or "that cute little dolphin"...a trip to a beach will show many, many, many people with identical Greek Keys, surfer sunburst, yong-yang and Chinese characters that could probably mean "Beef and Brocolli" for all the wearer knows.

Magazine

[edit]

There is a tattoo magazine called 'Flash', pretty classy for the genre. I was surprised to find a total dearth of WP info regarding the aforementioned. If I wasnt currently partially indisposed I'd create a stub article. Anyone else seen this rag or is it really local in its distro? Mr0t1633 (talk) 06:10, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
