The flag's image color difference

[edit]

I'm not sure why, but the flag has two shades of blue (slightly annoying, given they look so simillar).

The original and official description of it (the Zanzibar Flag Act of 2004) already has that problem in it, but only to the image, and the text describing the flag is too vague and underdefined. It states: "A rectangular flag divided into three equal portions horizontally; the bottom portion is green (signifying the land of Zanzibar), the middle portion is black (signifying the colour of the original people of Zanzibar) and the top portion is light blue (signifying the and sky surrounding Zanzibar); with an insertion of the Tanzania National Flag at the top of the left hand corner", so no mention of the need to be the same tone.

Additionally, the description of the Tanzania National Flag in the Tanzania National Emblems Act of 1971: "A rectangular flag divided into two equal portions diagonally from the right-hand upper corner to the left-hand lower corner; the upper portion of green colour and the lower portion of blue colour; the dividing bands being of golden, black and golden collars; the two golden bands of equal size and smaller than the central black band"

In the end, there is no mention to any specific colors, but this flag is so underdefined it is not the worst part. This comment was more focused to help any other people with the same problem. Murilo Porfirio (talk) 20:00, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
