Original Roscoe Sweeney
[edit]Did the Marvel Comics organization know there had been a Roscoe Sweeney character in newspaper comics since 1943? Perhaps those connected with comic books never read newspaper comics, but it seems odd that no one knew about a syndicated Sunday comic that had spun off from a popular daily adventure strip, Buz Sawyer.
I was redirected to this article when I was searching for information about the Roscoe Sweeney comic and, since I thought others might do the same search, I put a link to the Buz Sawyer daily strip at the top of the article. I thought about adding a section about their being another Roscoe Sweeney, but decided the top link might be the best way direct people to the original Roscoe Sweeney.
