Huh?
[edit]This does not make sense to me: "The field itself was used as the football field, and termed Fitton Field, as early as 1908. A wooden structure was constructed at that time, but a more sturdy cement structure did not appear until 1908." Notice the dates are the same but the sentence seems to indicate another date was intended, either for the former or latter date. --SafeLibraries 20:32, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- I wrote this. I see what you're saying, and I'll try to rephrase it, but help yourself to fixing it if need be. --badlydrawnjeff talk 20:35, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Wow, you responded fast! I do not know what the facts are so I won't change it. But, as part of the wiki community, I am happy to bring this to your attention. --SafeLibraries 20:39, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- I just happened to be checking my watchlist, I have a few things to do before getting to this though. I'll look into it, I'm simply confusing myself. --badlydrawnjeff talk 20:42, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Split
[edit]I suggest that everything about the baseball stadium be be split into a new article titled Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field. The baseball and football stadiums are separate structures sited next to each other but apparently sharing no common elements other than a name and some of their history. I see no good reason for these two stadiums to be covered in one article. (Note that the article I'm proposing was previously created in 2006 but it has been a redirect to Fitton Field since April 15, 2007.) -- Pemilligan (talk) 18:40, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
- After spending some time drafting the changes, I've decided to be bold and publish them at Fitton Field and Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field. -- Pemilligan (talk) 20:10, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
Satchel Paige played here.
