[edit]I think some reference should be made to Fitness First contracts and how difficult it is to leave the club without incurring heavy fees or direct debits for the rest of your life---

Uhhhhhhhhh... Whatever bright spark decided to add a quote 'known for ripping off members' or other such stupidities, don't. It's idiotic and I've removed it. It's fair enough to talk about contact terms, but it's not ok to make broad sweeping statements like that.

Fitness first is one of the largest fitness centres in the world
This article has serious issues and the controversies section in particular is problematic. I've removed the reference to employing a debt collection agency in the UK to pursue members who don't pay amounts owing. This is clearly not a "controversy" given that it is common practice for companies to recover accounts receivables. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Geenfietsen (talk • contribs) 15:02, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
International or Australian?
[edit]Fitness First is an international company, yet this article seems to focus explicitly on Australia, even mentioning some seemingly trivial "complaints" about the company, which are more to do with that specific location than the company as a whole (e.g. the person getting pushed down the stairs). I recommend a lot of the Australia-specific stuff be deleted, unless it is in the form of an example. The complaints section should be trimmed to what's relevant for Fitness First, not for individual locations. Thoughts? MatttK (talk) 22:55, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
